Delmarva and Delaware Employee Scholarship Winners

Members of the Mountaire Family came together on Monday, July 23, 2018, for a luncheon at the Georgia House Restaurant in Millsboro, DE, to honor the 2018 Mountaire Scholarship recipients for the Delmarva and Millsboro complexes. Representatives from management, human resources, processing, live and grain departments from both Delmarva and Delaware, our scholarship recipients, and their invited guests participated in this wonderful event. Children and grandchildren of employees, growers, and grain suppliers are all eligible to apply for $2,500 scholarships which are awarded on an annual basis. This year’s response was outstanding; the applicant pool was impressive, making the selection processes difficult.

Following lunch, our 2018 scholarship winners were announced. Presenting the scholarships for the Delmarva complex was Edlyn Cartagena, Complex Human Resources Manager Delmarva. Dave Patey, Director of Live Operations Delmarva and Delaware, made the presentations to the live operations award recipients; Adam Downes, Director of Agribusiness, and Sam Parker, Director of Grain Facilities, presented the grain scholarship awards; and Rosaline Rosa, Employment Manager, presented Millsboro complex awards to the scholarship recipients.
