Amanda Irwin has been promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mountaire Farms. In this role, Amanda will continue to lead our organization forward, building on our strong foundation while guiding us into the future.

Under her leadership as President, Amanda has demonstrated the ability to drive results while maintaining the culture that sets Mountaire apart. Her vision, dedication, and passion for our teams and communities make her exceptionally well-suited for this expanded role. She brings a comprehensive understanding of our operations along with a leadership style rooted in integrity, respect, and a focus on doing the right thing—values that define who we are as a company.

“I am deeply honored by the trust that Ronnie Cameron and our Board of Directors has placed in me,” Amanda said. “This company and its people mean so much to me. As we look ahead, I am committed to building on our strong foundation, supporting our team members, and continuing to deliver for our customers and communities while staying true to the values that have always guided us.”

Amanda’s career with Mountaire started when she was just 19, as a summer intern in Quality Assurance. From there, she held numerous roles in both the Millsboro and Selbyville plants. She also spent time in live operations, human resources, and sales before coming back to plant operations. She was ultimately named Vice President of Processing Operations in 2020 and the Executive Vice President of Processing Operations and Sales in 2023. A year later, she was named Chief Operating Officer, then President in 2025.

Amanda has a bachelor’s degree in animal industries from Clemson University and a master’s degree in human resources from Wilmington University. She lives in Rehoboth Beach with her two sons, Oakley and Dane.

“Amanda leads as Jesus teaches us, to do for others as we would have them do for us,” said Ronnie Cameron, Chairman and CEO of Mountaire Corporation. “Everyone cares about her because they know how much she cares about them.”

As part of this transition, Amanda will report to Ronnie Cameron. Dabbs Cavin will continue to serve on the Mountaire Board of Directors, providing continued guidance and support to the organization.

“Dabbs’ leadership and support has been and will continue to be an important part of who we are,” Ronnie added.
Please join us in congratulating Amanda on this well-deserved promotion and in supporting her as she leads Mountaire into the next chapter of growth and success.
