A little rain didn’t dampen our spirits in March as volunteers and employees came together at four different sites to pack more than 20,000 complete meals for families in need through our Meals for Thousands program. A driving rainstorm didn’t stop our team in Selbyville, DE, who helped load boxes into church vans and rented U-Haul’s all morning on March 23rd.
Each box contains a Mountaire roaster chicken, corn, peas and carrots, apple sauce, yams, mashed potatoes with bacon, and a brownie mix. All boxes were generously donated by our box supplies DS Smith.
We had four packing sites this year: Selbyville, DE, Lumberton, NC, Siler City NC and Statesville, NC.
