Mountaire Scholarship Programs

For decades, Mountaire has awarded scholarships to the children of employees, grain producers, and growers, and to deserving students in our communities.

We’re excited to announce that those scholarships are back and bigger than ever! And we’re awarding more scholarships in 2026 than ever before.

We now have two categories: Community and Family. Each scholarship award will be $3,000 and we’ve added a video segment to the application process. To learn more about these scholarship or to apply, read more below.

Community Scholarships:

The Mountaire Farm to Table Community Scholarship is open to students in our local communities in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and North Carolina, who are attending school to pursue careers in agriculture, the trades, or related fields.

Eligible applicants include high school seniors (both traditional and vocational/technical), as well as students enrolled in two-year community colleges or four-year universities.

This $3,000 scholarship is designed to encourage and support the next generation of leaders who will contribute to the future of agriculture, skilled trades, and the communities we serve.

Students must be nominated for these scholarships by a teacher or school guidance counselor.

Family Scholarships:

The Mountaire Family Scholarship is open to the children and grandchildren of Mountaire employees as they pursue their education and future careers.

To be eligible, a student’s parent or grandparent must be employed by Mountaire, or grow broilers, breeders or grain for Mountaire. Those applying should be high school seniors (traditional or vocational/technical) who are enrolling as a full-time college student or students already enrolled in two-year community colleges or four-year universities who are carrying a minimum of 12 credits per semester in the current school year.

Successful applicants must be involved in extracurricular activities at school and in their community. Preference will be given to an industry-related course of study. A copy of the student’s transcript must be attached to the application.

Scholarships are awarded across three categories that reflect our business areas — Live/Grower/Grain, Processing Operations, and Support functions.

Through this program, we are honored to help our extended Mountaire family grow, thrive, and achieve their educational goals.
