This week marks the fourth year that Mountaire has given away thousands of school bags filled with supplies. We gave away a total of 13,000 bags to our employees to take home to their kids just in time for school, in-person or otherwise.

Our employees are our most important asset, and helping their families is a priority for us. We encourage education, whether it’s an employee going back to school to complete their degree, a college intern looking for experience, or an employee’s child looking for college scholarships. But education doesn’t start at the collegiate level. It is incredibly important to create a good learning environment from a young age.

Starting off on the right foot can make all the difference, so we make sure our employees’ kids have the materials they need to succeed in their school year. That’s why each employee can sign up for one school bag for each child from kindergarten through their senior year of high school. The bags come in two groups, K-5 and 6-12, and are filled with age-appropriate supplies, such as crayons or pens. This year, we included some online learning supplies like earbuds, and we threw in a bottle of hand sanitizer as well – something always in need these days.

We hope all of our families have a safe, healthy, and happy school year. Every parent will face new challenges this year, but we hope the extra set of supplies was one less thing to stress about!
