Every Full and Part-Time employee at Mountaire is provided $10,000 of Basic Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance, which is provided for free and is effective on your date of hire.

Mountaire also offers salaried employees Additional Life Insurance and AD&D Insurance equal to 2X your annual salary. When you enroll in this type of life insurance, Mountaire contributes a portion of the cost.

Supplemental Life Insurance

Salaried Employees are offered Supplemental Life Insurance equal to 1X their annual salary. Employees pay 100% of the cost. The rate for this coverage is based on your age.

Hourly Employees are offered Supplemental Life Insurance in $10,000 increments, up to a maximum of $50,000.  Employees pay 100% of the cost.

Dependent Life Insurance pays the life insurance benefit to you in the event of the death of your spouse or your children. You can choose from two different kinds of coverage:

  • First Option: $10,000 for your spouse, $5,000 for each dependent
  • Second Option: $20,000 for your spouse, $10,000 for each dependent
