As the father of four daughters, Greg Twigg hasn’t had a lot of spare time in past few decades, but that hasn’t stopped him giving back to his community. He helped coach soccer when his daughters were growing up, and he’s been very involved in his church, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Leadership Team.

The role he’s enjoyed the most has been his involvement with the Fruitland Volunteer Fire Company. He joined in 1993 and took all the classes to become a firefighter, then an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He’s risen through the ranks and now serves as President of the Fruitland Volunteer Fire Company. He’s also the 1st Assistant Chief Engineer, which means he can drive all the trucks and still do what he loves best – helping people.

“It’s a fantastic group of guys, a true brotherhood,” Twigg explained about his love of the fire company. “We get to help people in need, and save people’s lives.”

The fire company gets about 400 calls a year for service, and he still participates in about 30 percent of all calls, despite his job in Millsboro, DE, and his home now being a little further outside of Fruitland city limits.

His love of the fire company has spread to his third daughter, who at the age of 15 is now a cadet in the program.

Greg joined Mountaire in 1996 as a computer programmer in the sales department. He’s held various roles since then, and was recently promoted to Commercial and Finance Application Manager. Thanks for all you do for us and your community, Greg!
